I do not have the time to take up a class room type Japanese language course due to my current academic / office  schedule.  how can SNRC help me?

We reckon this & acknowledge the fact that you may have a challenge in this area. However it is a fact that many of our existing “learn Japanese online” students started with similar challenges. Will I get a Japanese language course completion certificate?

Japan Foundation issues a certificate to those who clear the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) conducted by them. Which means you take the right Japanese language course & target to clear the JLPT exam.

What is the typical batch size of your Japanese language course programs?

Minimum of 10 and a Maximum of about 15 in a batch.

What are the timings for SNRC’s Japanese language courses?

There are two types of Japanese language course batches conducted at our two locations in Bangalore viz Malleswaram & Koramangala.
A. Weekday batches - An accelerated program & is usually conducted in the forenoons.
B. Weekend batches - Conducted over the weekends, forenoon or afternoon.

Yes we do. As regards Japanese native teachers conducting the Japanese language course of freshers, its our experience that bringing in a native Japanese teacher at the beginner stage can be counter productive.

Can children below THE AGE OF 10 enrol for a suitable Japanese language course at sakuraa nihongo resource centre?

Our advice is that it is a good  idea to start Japanese language training after the age of 13/14.

Is Japanese language conversation given importance while learning JLPT levels?

JLPT exams do not test the students Japanese language conversational ability, SNRC provides adequate importance to Japanese language conversation skills.

Is it a must to pass every JLPT  level to go to the next level?

No.

Can I study directly JLPT N4 level or can I simultaneously study JLPT N5 and N4

No. The sequence of study is  JLPT N5 & then JLPT N4 in that order. It cannot be studied simultaneously.

How do I pass the JLPT Exams?

Now....Assuming you have attended a quality Japanese language course..here are our Top 7 Tips to Ace JLPT Exams.
1.  Brush up on Kanjis, compound words like だいがくetc
2.  Read Renshuu A of every chapter of Minna no Nihongo. This will be a brush up of grammar patterns.
3. Save audio files of vocabulary in phone and keep listening while walking /traveling etc (be careful while driving!).
4.  There is plenty of Choukai practice on Youtube..along with script . Practice those.
5. Practice Dokkai passages.  Reading speed and Kanji recognition should be good to comprehend and solve the passages within time.
6.  Memorise vocabulary and grammar patterns  with particles.
7. Two  mock exams available on the official JLPT website. Time them and take the tests

How hard is it to learn Japanese?

1. Its like learning any foreign language.  Every language comes with its own challenges.  Languages like German, French do not have a separate script, but have a more intricate grammar as in gender,  plurality etc.

How can I improve my Japanese vocabulary?

1. Like you would do with your native language when you read, write, listen, or speak. The words you have memorized fall in place instinctively as you need them.

How long does it take to be fluent in Japanese?

1. One must get to atleast the JLPT N3 Level of Japanese language qualification to get the confidence of fluency.
   
2. Someone putting in robust effort coupled with attention to the points mentioned in our response to the questions on improving vocabulary etc can hope to attain reasonable fluency in Japanese language in about 2 years. However this is person specific.
